Every story has a beginning.

Ours started with a little French Bulldog named Lemmy.

What began as a neighborhood café inspired by our beloved companion eventually grew into Lemmy's Bistro & Apéro Bar: a place where people gathered over good food, good wine, and even better conversations. It became known for introducing French comfort food in a way that felt welcoming rather than intimidating. Whether you came for a quiet lunch, a bottle of wine with friends, or one of our signature dishes, our goal was always the same: make people feel at home.

Over the years, we realized something.

The part of France that fascinated us most wasn't found in fine dining or white tablecloths. It was in the everyday moments—the morning stop at the neighborhood boulangerie, the sandwich enjoyed on a park bench, the quick espresso standing at the counter, the simple pleasure of buying fresh bread on the way home.

In France, good food isn't reserved for special occasions.

It's simply part of daily life.

That idea became the inspiration for Le Comptoir by Lemmy's Bistro.

"Le Comptoir" literally means the counter, the place where people drop by for coffee, pick up lunch, exchange a few words, and continue with their day. It perfectly captures what we wanted to create: a small corner of Paris that fits naturally into the rhythm of everyday life.

Today, Le Comptoir proudly calls itself the Home of Jambon-Beurre.
